We were not born to stand still

We are back at the top class of endurance racing, not just to build on our many historic successes but because we feel at home. We were born to race. We are Raceborn.

With the 963, Porsche will compete in the IMSA and the FIA WEC in 2024. Motorsport is an essential part of Porsche's DNA. The brand's various racing cars around the world have won countless race victories and championships. With the 963, Porsche aims to add another chapter to its racing success story. To this end, the manufacturer returns to the stage where the brand has already played a leading role in the past. The new Porsche race car debuted last season during the 24-hour race at Daytona, the season opener of the American IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Porsche Penske Motorsport car tackles mixed conditions

This is a very emotional thing now, seeing this engine racing again in Le Mans.

A fusion of power and sustainability

The Porsche 963 integrates classic design with modern hybrid technology, featuring a lightweight Multimatic chassis and a robust 4.6-liter V8 twin-turbo engine from the Porsche 918 Spyder. Delivering 680 PS with a maximum of 10,000 rpm and a resonant sound at 110 decibels, it runs on renewable fuels, cutting CO2 emissions significantly and setting new benchmarks in the LMDh category.

Legacy reimagined

The Porsche 963 melds classic cues from the victorious 956 and 962 models with modern design elements, such as the continuous illuminated strip from the current 992 series, presenting a striking appearance in white, red, and black. This nod to Porsche's racing heritage extends to its availability for customer racing in 2024, continuing the tradition of bringing legendary performance to the track.

Team made with great pilots

The Porsche 963 is piloted by an experienced group of drivers from Porsche's works team and top racers in prototype competitions. They form the core of Porsche Penske Motorsport, bringing their skills to a car built for top-level racing and ready to tackle the demands of both WEC and IMSA races.

Geared for endurance racing's elite

The Porsche 963 is prepared for top-tier performance in major endurance races like the 24h Le Mans, 24h Daytona, and 12h Sebring. With dedicated preparation facilities in Mannheim for the FIA WEC and Mooresville, North Carolina for the IMSA series, each location ensures the car meets the specific demands of its races.

Where values are indicated as ranges, they do not refer to a single, specific vehicle and are not part of the offered product range. They are only for the purposes of comparison between different vehicle types. Additional equipment and accessories (add-on parts, tyre formats etc.) can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. These factors, in addition to weather, traffic conditions and driving behaviour, can influence the fuel/electricity consumption, CO₂ emissions, range and performance values of a vehicle.
